Hello, world

My love for travelling began at a very young age, thanks to my parents willingness to include me on their holidays and my incurable curiosity to explore what is out there. I am fascinated by culture, how it is so diverse throughout the world and how countries can be geographically located so close together but couldn’t be more different when it came to their architecture, customs, food and way of life.

There is one trip in particular that stands out to me from my travels – a trip to the UK with my parents in 2003 when I was eight years old. This was my second time I had been to the UK, but as I was so young the first time I found I remembered very little about this amazing country. It had been an extremely long flight and I remember being so excited to explore and see my family that lived there. As we came into land at Heathrow I distinctly recall looking out the window and looking out on to the expanse that was Greater London, it was early morning, but so clear (something very uncommon for London).

It is a moment I will never forget.

Looking out the window of a plane, train, bus, boat or car is something that I still enjoy doing today, watching the world pass by, trying to take in as much as I can, it’s always exciting. I decided to make this blog as a way to share this excitement with others. The excitement on looking out in to the world knowing that there is just so much out there ready to be explored.

Travelling has become a big part of my life and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you, one window at a time.

Til next time,

Jacqui
